About Us
We (Mike and Lori) were born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and have been married for 14 years. We each received Christ as Savior when we were young children and have been actively involved at Scottsdale Bible Church for 28 years. We have three wonderful children: Jadon (age 10), Grace (age 7), and Christian (age 5) whom we find it a joy to homeschool. Over the years, we have served in Orlando, Florida with Wycliffe Bible Translators, in Scottsdale, Arizona with Mission ONE, and are currently preparing to move to Northeast Thailand to serve with the indigenous ministry of Mekong Evangelical Mission. As a family, we love to spend time gardening, doing service projects, reading great literature, and exploring nature.
Mike has a B.S. degree in Computer Systems Engineering and an MBA from Arizona State University, and I (Lori) have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. We both have a 30-hour Bible certificate from Grace Evangelical School of Theology and a passion to use our God-given skills to further God's kingdom, both in the work of world missions and in discipling our own children.
Our oldest son, Jadon, is our computer and technology expert. (He gets that from Mike!) He is enthusiastic, playful, and tender with younger children. He loves reading, science, and playing piano- memorizing songs faster than any other kid we know! Grace is our artist and is ever creating something special for someone. She is cheerful, responsible, and a great swimmer. She wants only to be a missionary when she grows up! Christian is our lovable boy who always has a hug for you and a smile that is contagious. He keeps right up with the big kids and loves cars, trucks, and soccer.
